The Washoe County School District features 11
public high schools, 3 public high schools in Sparks, 16 middle schools and
Reno-Sparks' elementary schools. Reno has several private high schools. Higher
education is met by Truckee Meadows Community College, the Nevada School of Law
at Old College and the University of Nevada, Reno, the oldest university in the
